[http://www.hesoill.com] - Jay-Five was the born in a Pittsburgh, Pa hospital in the early eighty’s, during a time of tremendous economic struggle. Sudden his loss of innocence would soon teach him at a young age to evolve into a man. After a brief stay In New York City due to family conflict, Jon and his siblings landed in Warren, Ohio to reside with his grandparents. It was in that small city where he realized life was a twenty four hour brawl where the winner survives and the defeated molder. Although the inconsistencies of a constructive family life took a toll on him Jay, found a phenomenal coping mechanism, music. Not just any genre of music but the art of true Hip-Hop.
In 1994 a then underground Queens’s artist who goes by the moniker “NAS” released his debut album “Illmatic” which soon became an instant Hip-Hop classic. After listening to “It ain’t hard to tell” Jay was instantly compelled by the captivating style and concept of the songs lyrical structure. From that moment on he knew what his life’s’ journey would become, to solely become the best hip-hop artist of generation X. This single moment in time thus resulted in the makings of a star. He began to study Hip- Hop and its art form. He was crowned the name “Jay- Five” during the mid- nineties. He enlisted the greats onto his list of influences, The Notorious B.I.G., Nas, Big L , Common, DJ Premier, KRS –One, Jay-Z, Mobb Deep, Pete Rock and C.L. Smooth, and The Wu Tang Clan . By dissecting each artist style Jay was humbled by each artist lyrical craft. He soon mastered a diction all his own. He started battling local artist during is junior high school days. Participating whenever and wherever he was awarded the chance. His lyrical skills continued to strengthen throughout high school and so did his reputation as being a lyrical bully. By the end of the century, Warren, Ohio residents governed him “The Kid Everybody Talkin’ ‘bout”.
Now Jay-Five has opened for Artist such as Ciara, Gucci Mane, Juvenile, Rich Boy and Young Buck to name a selective few. He has worked with a multitude of magnanimous production teams, such as Kingzmen Productions, The Tune Raiders, Yessurr Productions and Zoo Boy Entertainment. He has released three solo mix tapes and one album respectively. He was recently asked to team up with Peedy Wheat Straw and Rick Ross on the remix to “Dope Boy Lean” which has been in heavy media rotation. Jay- Five has an authenticity all his own. His versatility is appealing to crowds of every age, race and ethnicity. He takes utter pride it his craft and is dedicated to perfection. He takes the principle of life and conveys them into a highly melodic Hip- Hop message set apart from the average. He is a refreshing change to the commercialized hip-hop today. He is the fifth element Hip-Hop needs to restore life in an art that considered to be dying.
everyone reaches a point in their lives where they are faced with tremendous adversity…and it seems insurmountable or like you won’t make it out of the darkness my suggestion to u is to give the situation to GOD let him guide you to where you need to be he will protect you and keep you safe and all u have to do is humble yourself before him fall to your knees and pray to him for forgiveness and he will do the rest peace brothers and sisters AMEN!!!
